Jaco Fourie (w.fourie@unsw.edu.au) is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the UNSW School of Management and Governance. He was awarded his Ph.D. in Organization and Management Studies at the beginning of 2021, after which he commenced his current role on the Collective Action and Collaborative Governance in Crisis Project. Throughout his doctoral studies, he was concurrently employed as a research assistant supporting the Volkswagen Foundation’s: Global Supply Chain Governance Project. His research explores governance and managerial challenges posed by intractable or “wicked” societal problems. His thesis examined the design and effectiveness of emerging regulatory and governance responses to modern slavery in (global) supply chains. His current work explores learning from, and decision making during, complex crises.
